Bart:We don't need to watch TV constantly. We can just, you know, hang out and do other stuff.

Lisa:Yeah, and we don't even need to see Mom and Dad every day.

Marge:Bart, can I have a hug?

Bart:Sure, Mom. You can hug me when I'm asleep.

Animator:23%? That's oddly specific.

Committee Member:Any more and we get sued. Any less and kids won't think he's cool.

Homer:Okay, here's my idea to save the show. First, we need more catchphrases. I'm thinking something like 'D'oh!' but different. Maybe 'Mmm... donuts.' No wait, I already do that.

Homer:Second, we need a will-they-won't-they romance. Me and Marge will break up, get back together, break up again. It'll go on for years.

Homer:And fourth, and this is the important part: we need to acknowledge that we're a TV show. We need to break the fourth wall, reference our own declining ratings, make fun of ourselves before anyone else can.

Poochie:Hey, uh, I know I'm not the most popular character, and I apologize for that. I'm just a dog who wanted to be cool and edgy, you know? But I guess I'm exactly what the writers made me to be — annoying, try-hard, and kind of unnecessary. Sorry about that.

Poochie:I'm gonna say a few things... and then I gotta go.

Poochie:First of all, I want to say that I've loved being on this show. You've all been like a family to me. But I realize now that I'm not a Springfeld guy. I gotta go back to my home planet.

Lisa:And he came to Earth to... do what exactly?

Bart:I dunno. The whole thing doesn't make any sense.

Lisa:Yeah, but it's on TV, so it must be true.

Homer:Wait a minute... they replaced my speech with a commercial for donuts? That's not betrayal, that's just good business!

Homer:You know, I've learned a lot today. I learned that if you want something badly enough, you have to work for it. And I learned that hard work pays off. And I learned that I've been working at the nuclear plant for free for the last three weeks.

Homer:You know, I've been thinking about my time in Hollywood, and I've come to realize I made two huge mistakes.

Homer:First, I should never have trusted those producers. And second... I should have asked for more donuts.
